My Makeup Essentials

My favorite things! Oh and I have a LOT of favorites, but if I had to narrow it down to top 5...ok 6 makeup items that I had to have, these are it! 

• Chanel Vitalumiere in 40- Beige: my all time favorite foundation, it's light, dewy, has buildable coverage, and is natural looking. There is also an Aqua option for lighter coverage

• Butter London Cheeky cream blush in Ruby Murray: such a natural looking blush- comes from within almost. Buildable, long lasting, and all of their blushes are rich in color *imagine the look of flushed cheeks after sprinting a flight of stairs*

• Christian Dior Creme De Rose lip balm: soothing, creamy, plumping, and the aroma of rose is at perfect potency (notice the perfection of this balm...I'm obsessed)

• Kevyn Aucoin concealer pot in SX08: such a huge amount of product in these concealer pots, creamy, full coverage, and doesn't settle into fine lines (those would be my lil finger prints...a little goes a long way)

• Motives Perfecting face primer: I attribute the compliments I get on my skin to this lil number. Holds my makeup in place ALL day, lays down a velvet veil underneath my foundation, and feels like silk

• Shiseido eyelash curler: I can't live without it. Curls my lashes without denting them, doesn't pull or snag, and the curl is natural and lasts throughout the day

• (shown at the top- barely) BECCA shimmering skin perfector: if you mix this with your foundation each day, you'll notice people staring at your glowy dewy angelic face (shhhh it's a secret)

Ok that was technically 6 things, but if you sent me off to a deserted island these would be the things I hoarded away at the bottom of my satchel! That and a razor ;)

Weekend Wrap-up: #Techgating and Twitter Parties!

Happy Tuesday to you and happy weekend wrap up! I hope your week, your day, and your month have all been amazing. We've been doing a lot you and I: Twitter parties, launching an app, catching up... and slowing it down to get ready for the holidays! Yes, I said the H word! Can you believe it's only TWO more Thursdays until Thanksgiving and SIX more Thursdays until Christmas!?!?! The red cup is out and everything (praise to PSL all day with sprinkles of nutmeg).

So I'm wrapping up the weekend and the week's happenings.

Comedy really is my creative outlet. Some people meditate or bake. I write comedy sketches and web series. My latest sketch shows all of my fellow football 'noobs' just how to fit in with the cheering and celebrations by throwing the best party ever! It goes through all of the things you'll need on game day to stay connected to the game and to your friends enjoying it somewhere else. Oh technology, such a beautiful thing. Except when my parents try to Facetime us and aren't sure how to use that feature on their phones! Ha! So click here to laugh out loud at my dance skills (errr lack there of)! 

And for some knee slappin' good time giggles, check out the video Corrine and I did together. It's our mother/daughter 'favorites' video. You KNOW Corrine doesn't love the camera as much as I do but she rocks it! Click here to check it out.
